Standard 3: Digital age learning environment
Technology coaches create and support effective digital age learning environments to maximize the learning of all students.
a. Model effective classroom management and collaborative learning strategies to maximize teacher and student use of digital tools and resources and access to technology-rich learning environments.
b. Coach teachers in and model use of online and blended learning, digital content, and collaborative learning networks to support and extend student learning as well as expand opportunities and choices for online professional development for teacher and administrators.
Why I choose this standard:
I choose this standard because I want to strengthen my instructional practices that align with technology integration. At times I get caught up in teaching the curriculum that I lose sight of ensuring that all students have a way to connect to the curriculum outside of a paper and pencil. I wish to learn about how to use technology integration to enhance learning about mathematics and to make the connections more meaningful. Additionally, I choose this standard because I want more experience leading professional development sessions. I think it's important for all math teachers to be informed about ways technology can improve student learning. From previous course work, I have learned about how adults learn and my hope for this class helps me gain the knowledge needed to help others learn about the impact of technology integration.
