Artifact 1 - Visionary Leadership
For this artifact, I choose to use my final paper. My final paper discusses the plans for professional development for mathematics teachers with a focus on technology integration growth. This supports my growth in visionary leadership because I (along with my partner) was able to create a year long professional development plan that promotes technology integration using Courous' "8 things to look for". Not only does my professional development plan support teachers with technology integration but it also helps teachers tap into their innovative mindset. As a leader, it is important to lead by example, so my professional development plan was created with students in mind. If I want teachers to change the way they teach I needed to ensure that the plan for development models the changes I want to see in instruction. This is evident because I was able to give teachers opportunities to create instructional materials on their own as well as share/collaborate ideas.
Artifact 2 - Visionary Leadership
For this artifact I am using the presentation I created for professional development for teachers using Pear Deck. This presentation supports my growth with visionary leadership because I was able to create an interactive presentation on a Edtech tool which helps teachers integrate technology more effectively into their instruction. With the presentation, I am also able to show teachers how to practically transform their instruction to make it more engaging and empowering. Creating this presentation shows that I am able to be a resource and support others in technology integration and implementation.
Artifact 3 - Digital Age Learning Environment
For this artifact I am using the UDL lesson on Cross Sections. This lesson supports my growth with creating a digital age learning environment because I was able to create a lesson that provides more opportunities for all students to show their understanding while using technology in a transformational way. Through the use of technology, students are provided with multiple ways to access the learning as well as share their understanding. As we evolve in our instruction it is important that students are given the opportunity to create and develop their own knowledge and learning, this lesson provides that.
